Wednesday, May 18 • 8:00 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.

Female sexual problems, such as decreased libido, increased physical discomfort, and difficulty reaching orgasm, are common in clinical practice, and it is important to know that state-of- the-art diagnostic and management strategies are available for treating women with sexual concerns. This Preconference will enable you to:
- Assess female sexual dysfunction using history and physical, inventories, blood tests, and other physical examination tools.
- Discuss the psychological evaluation and assessment of women with sexual dysfunction.
- Describe issues related to lowered sexual interest and sexual pain syndromes.

(Limited to 40 participants. Register early! Session will reach capacity.)
Karlotta M. Davis, MD, MPH

Maida B. Taylor, MD, MPH, FACOG
Pessaries are used for non-surgical management of a number of GYN conditions, including pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence, common conditions experienced by older women. Becoming familiar with the use and proper fitting of the pessary allows clinicians to offer their patients an alternative to surgical intervention and provides another choice for those patients with limited therapeutic options. Pessaries come in a variety of shapes and sizes and it is important for clinicians to understand the nuances of choosing the correct pessary for their patient's condition.
This Preconference will enable you to:
- Examine a variety of pessaries and determine the condition for which individual pessaries are indicated.
- Practice proper placement of pessaries in non-human models.
- Describe essential components of patient counseling for pessary use.
